Overview
All Stars participate in competitive post-season play, as they face other teams in the Alaska State District One Little League Tournament with the hopes of moving on to the Alaska State Little League Tournament. And, ultimately move on to the Little League Regional Tournament and then Little League World Series.

Cost
The fee for players that are selected for All Stars is between $120 - $160. Parents must also be able to commit financially, as teams that move on to the State Tournament, should be prepared to pay travel expenses (i.e. hotels, dining out, air fare, etc.). If teams are expected to advance to locations that require an overnight stay, teams should reserve accommodations as soon as possible.

Registration
Prospective players must register/apply to be considered for an All-Star team (no fees charged at this time). Once the player has been selected, the registration fee (between $120 - $160) and the following paperwork is required:

  •  Proof of age documentation: Original birth certificate
  •  Proof of residency documentation: Driver’s License (photo ID of parent(s) or guardian(s) with qualifying residence address), School records (home address of player’s parents or guardians), etc

District One Little League Tournament
The Alaska State District 1 Little League hosts the first level of tournaments in June/July.

  •  District 1 posts the schedule and brackets on their website (and below).
  •  2024 tournament schedule.pdf
  •  AWLL plays against other teams that are part of District 1 (i.e. Dimond West, Abbot O Rabbit, etc.)
  •  Teams play at various locations. In 2024
    •  Baseball teams (intermediates) played at Knik Little League in Eagle, River.

Alaska State Little League Tournament
Teams that win in their District, advance to play in the Alaska State Tournament in July/August.

  • WA Little League posts the schedule and brackets on their website.
  •  Teams play against other teams in other Alaska Districts
  • Competition ends at the State level for 10u/11u.
  •  Teams play at various locations in Alaska :
    •  Baseball teams played in Juneau, AK or Anchorage, AK


Little League Regional Tournament
Teams that win the State Tournament advance to play in the Regional Tournament in August.

  • There are 10 U.S. Regions. Washington is part of the “Northwest Region”, along with Oregon, Idaho and Alaska.
  •  In 2023, the tournament was held in San Bernardino, CA on August 5 – 10

 
Little League World Series

U.S. teams that win Regionals, advance to play in the Little League World Series.
